I tried again on an openSUSE Tumbleweed system with this versions:
Plasma Version 5.12.4
Frameworks 5.45.0
Qt 5.10.0
The Samba installation now works with a minor glitch. When the installation is
tried the first time in a Dolphin instance, a password prompt is shown, which
immediately results in a failure message. But in the background Samba really
gets installed. See attached screenshot diagram.
