Thanks for the clarification Martin.

Hmm so why is the xrandr command output showing that its at 144Hz, but the
xrandr API is returning 60Hz to KDE? That seems very strange.

I tested with Gnome and it is able to correctly grab the refresh rate. It's
compositor runs at 144 FPS automatically.

I realize it's probably hard to debug this without the exact hardware
configuration that I have, but I'd love to help test if you or anyone else is
willing to help fix the bug.
