The problem is in MLT 6.8.0, patched 5 days after release.
Debian switched to a git snapshot
(http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs/main/m/mlt/mlt_6.8.0+git20180605-1_changelog),
ask your MLT packager to pick the patches...
Hopefully MLT will release a bugfix soon?
