NO 2. did you try a relogin afterwards? NO I set the icon size to the largest in system settings and logged out and back in. The folder view widget (and I mean both of them in the panel including the one that I did not modify) are back to normal. This seems to be a good workaround and I seriously hope it does get fixed properly.
