Same issue here.  Also Arch-based (Manjaro).  

It has nothing to do with your DVI adapter, as I'm seeing the same thing on a
laptop with only an internal display.  Seems to unlock properly every time when
opening the lid, but if the machine goes to sleep and is woken back up with the
keyboard or power button plasma will fail to unlock.  

If the screen is locked, but the machine has not gone to sleep, there doesn't
seem to be any issues unlocking. 

Being that both of us are running Arch, this may be an Arch issue.  However, I
did not see anyone complaining about it on their forums, and there doesn't seem
to be a bug report.  

Hopefully someone running a distro other than Arch can confirm this. 

Piotr, has this resolved itself with any subsequent updates?
