It's quite likely that there's some sort of bug there that caused the unintentional creation of so many notes, but if you can't reliably reproduce the issue, we have no way of knowing where it is. Please let us know if you manage to find some concrete steps to reproduce. As for removing them all, you can right-click on them and click remove.
