I see many bugs/problems with the speed effect. If I remember correctly it has
something to do with the actual code which will be not updated anymore
(concentration is 100% on the refactoring version which will come out ca. Dec
18). Try with the upcoming version 18.08 ones released because there is an MLT
6.10.0 installed.
Maybe as workaround: keep your project in small portions. Render each small
portion and stich the rendered files together afterwards.
