Well, that's obviously not normal, but specific for your system. However,
you're not giving us any information about your system, not even which OS
you're using,. so we cannot begin to guess what might be up. 

* Please add the output of help/system information for bug reports to this
report. 
* Check whether resetting your configuration helps
(https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration)
* Check whether disabling canvas acceleration helps (settings/configure
krita/display)
* If you're on Windows 10, check whether you have any "security" software
installed other than Windows Defender
* Run a memory checker to see whether your hardware is not broken.
