            Bug ID: 397794
Summary: [Bionic] Upgrade removes ecryptfs-utils; must
                    re-install to access encrypted /home
           Product: neon
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Packages User Edition
          Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: yst...@posteo.net
                CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Upgrade from Neon User Xenial to Bionic on 23 Aug, using the experimental
method delineated here: https://community.kde.org/Neon/BionicUpgrades

ecryptfs-utils was removed and upon reboot after upgrade users with encrypted
/home could not log in. Solved by re-installing the package.

Likely related to the demotion of ecryptfs-utils to universe repository, since
Canonical now recommends full-disk encryption.

Mostl likely an Ubuntu bug, but I couldn't find a report on Launchpad, only
