The private key shouldn't be stored anywhere other than your personal systems
as the key in question doesn't belong to the project, but to you. If anyone
else were to make a release of DigiKam, then they would use their own key to
sign the releases. 

In regards to the Public Key, that should be uploaded to the public servers
(which propagate keys amongst themselves so you don't have to pick one, it will
get shared to them all in time)
