I can't reproduce what you say here with my tracks, a wild mixture of MP3, Ogg
and FLAC. Using Amarok from git master, so 2.8.90 aka 2.9 beta is probably the
closest release to that, and no changes in metadata use since the beta release.
Mind you, most of the time the track artist and album artist are simply
identical anyway ...
Could you please provide a concrete example of your findings with the default
sorting?
