Hi Lorraine,
I'm afraid that downloading the new definitions is something that is handled in
the g'mic-qt code, and not something we can do much about from within Krita.
The gmic-qt authors regularly update the way new definitions are downloaded,
and that isn't synchronized with how often we release Krita. We'll ship an
updated version of gmic-qt with the next version of Krita.
