We made a deliberate choice to work with whatever Qt provides us, that includes
display of date and time. It's not simply a configuration issue, it would need
special calls in each application that displays the date or time.
I'll close this bug as it's really nothing we plan to introduce, in fact we
moved away from rolling our own locale system, and made our code more
compatible with pure Qt. It could perhaps be done in Qt's locale, but in this
case, it'd be an upstream bug.
