Bug ID: 399567 Summary: auto mounted internal drives mounting as hidden after file systems renamed Product: frameworks-kio Version: 5.50.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: fa...@kde.org Reporter: madl...@gmail.com CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 115521 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=115521&action=edit shows hidden auto mounts SUMMARY all of my internal drives were auto mounting just fine until I renamed their file systems. they are NTFS formatted. they are being auto mounted by KDE and there are no specific settings set for them in fstab or system settings -> removable devices. if I rename the file system from another internal drive with fedora on it it auto mounts the same way but normally and not hidden. I have no idea how to set them back to auto mounting in this manner but not hidden? this is my experience from kubuntu(kdef 5.47), but I get the same result from fedora 29/28(kdef5.50) beta when viewing the drives in dolphin. I can browse the internal drives just fine, it's just that their mounted dir is hidden. I have not tried anything other than KDE as the DE. i also have not tried renaming them under fedora, only kubuntu. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. have NTFS formatted internal drive with KDE 2. rename file system to whatever. OBSERVED RESULT the mounted drive is now hidden. EXPECTED RESULT the drive should not be hidden.
