Removed everything from ~/.local/share/kscreen, closed lid and then waited 5+ mins, opened lid and the screen restored correctly! No new files in ~/.local/share/kscreen, just that one I posted earlier. Previously I had two configuration files there. I'll try to put it to sleep for longer.
