If I were working on bugs I would have given a bug with the word benchmark top priority as people take such criteria in to consideration when choosing which browser to use. All I can do at this point is explain what happened. A while script would give focus to anchors. Each anchor should have had it's onfocus attribute trigger and that would have changed the background-color of the page.
