Update: The symptoms are masked using the package 'vmargin'. Running LaTeX (via
kile) still results in a header line in the PS version:
"%%DocumentPaperSizes: a4"
followed further down by:
%%BeginPaperSize: a4
/setpagedevice where
{ pop << /PageSize [595 842] >> setpagedevice }
{ /a4 where { pop a4 } if }
ifelse
%%EndPaperSize
end
%%EndSetup
which does not give me any confidence that the underlying issue has been
addressed. I still cannot get the booklet to print two pages to a sheet of A4
paper. My suspicion is that there are other hidden hints in the PS and the PDF
to the print drivers that the document is really A4.
In summary, I can get it to look pretty on a screen but not in print. The issue
could be with kile or LaTeX and/or PDFLaTeX.
