Unfortunately, I stopped using OpenSuse many years ago, so I'm not in a
position to retest using the original source media.
With that said, I can confirm that I'm *not* able to reproduce the problem on:
1. Oracle Linux 6.10 / KDE 4.3.4 / KCalc 2.5 / Windows 10 TigerVNC viewer 1.9.0
1. Oracle Linux 7.6 / KDE 4.10.5 / KCalc 2.13 / Windows 10 VNC viewer 1.9.0
On both platforms, the "8" key works as expected when NumLock is enabled.
Not sure if the originator is able to reproduce any more, but from my
perspective, this one may be safe to close as fixed.
