The bug is fixed in Marble 1.13 (KDE Applications/15.12) and later. If you
cannot upgrade easily, here are possible workarounds:
- pass the files to open as command line parameters
- Use the Qt version of Marble and open it from there. In Ubuntu the package is
called marble-qt
