Hello Brandon, I think it is a limitation of the "worksheet interface"
philosophy implemented in Cantor.

Cantor provides an interface to scientific computing based in interactions
between the tool and the user. It is different from the philosophy where the
user writes a script and run it in some terminal.

In Cantor there is no need to write an input function, like in script texts,
because you can to write an attribution operation directly in the worksheet,
like `a = something`.

Sure it can be modified in the future (I saw Jupyter implements input
functions), but for the moment it will not change.
