            Bug ID: 402913
Summary: Application Shortcuts Blocked by KDE
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.14.3
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
          Reporter: cy...@nuclex.org
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

I am using Blender on KDE Plasma. Until recently, I was able to use shortcuts
such as Alt+G, Alt+H and Alt+S inside the application.

After updating to KDE Plasma 5.14.3, the shortcuts stopped working. They are
still assigned in Blender and they are have no conflicting assignments in
System Settings / Global Keyboard Shortcuts.

If I DO assign these keys as a shortcut in KDE's System Settings, then unassign
them again, they resume working in Blender. But only until the next reboot.

I also tried this with a new user accoun and the problem exists there as well.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run Blender (any version, I used 2.79) on KDE Plasma 5.14.3
2. Move (G) or Scale (S) the box in the default scene
3. Press Alt+G or Alt+S to reset the box translation or scale

OBSERVED RESULT

Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT

Keyboard shortcuts to work (i.e. Alt+G to move the box back to the center,
Alt+S to reset its scale, Alt+H to reveal hidden objects).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Gentoo Linux, Kernel 4.14.90
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0
Qt Version: 5.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Shortcut worked for 18 months, problem appeared with recent update to KDE
Plasma 5.14.3
