Whilst the images themselves are not sensitive the exif data contained
confidential client information and thus has been stripped.  I have confirmed
that I'm still seeing the problem with the "exifless" images.

As outlined in the first post of this report:

If I create a new folder, set view mode to "Icons", enable "Show previews", and
copy those images to the folder, all thumbnails show correctly.  I then
navigate away from that folder to another with the same view properties and
also containing images, when I then return to the first folder there is a very
high probability of the first and/or last item showing the generic icon and not
the thumbnail image, as shown in the original screenshot.
