I think it would be nice to have the ability to choose if apply that, or just to force the solid background. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a new panel 2. Activate "force solid background when touching any window" setting 3. Snap a window to the panel OBSERVED RESULT The panel background becomes solid and a monochrome effect is applied. EXPECTED RESULT The panel background becomes solid and the user can choose whether a monochrome effect is applied or not.
