I would also love to be able to check the heaptrack internals with ASAN - which
isn't possible due to the issue you mention. In the tests I have separated most
of this, such that I can run most of the internal code with ASAN enabled. But
the symbol overloading logic cannot be checked - I never made it work.
If you figure out how to play nice with ASAN I'd be all ears. For now, there's
nothing I can do. Sorry! I'd love to give you a different answer, but right now
I don't see any alternative :(
