            Bug ID: 406246
Summary: KDE powermanagement enabled in Xvnc session
           Product: Powerdevil
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: dpe...@opensuse.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello Geeko's minions and all other KDE minions and fellows,

I've found relatively severe problem. If you run vnc session for other user
with all defaults (kde plasma is your default DE), then powermanagement in this
session will work like on dev/ttyX session and logind won't affect which
session is currently in focus so result will be that kde will mercilessly sleep
your laptop (or dim screen or lock screen or they will take whatever action is
there) while you're working on when Xvnc session runs in background and it's
without input.

This is in my opinion buggy behaviour.

Howto-reproduce:

happens in 100% case, just:

useradd -m testuser
su - testuser -c 'vncserver :10'

^^ it will normally do default powermanagement actions even when you don't
launch `vncviewer localhost:10' ..

regards, dan
