Please don't change the status; this is a duplicate of Bug 403412.
The file you're changing is the code itself, not some user-configurable
setting. That's why it gets reset with every upgrade. This is unavoidable until
Bug 403094 is fixed (which will hopefully be soon; see the patch mentioned
there).
