You have already reported this wish in bug 397872 as point 5. I close this bug
report as a duplicate.
The installation of an icon view would be a bigger thing. The geolocation
editor is independent of the DB, because he also has to work in Showfoto.
Similar to the import view, we do not have access to the core or thumbnail
database, and so on.
