Bug ID: 407795 Summary: Kscreenlocker uses layout of the focused window if switching layout per window is active Product: kscreenlocker Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: bugw...@zoho.com CC: bhus...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I'm having 2 layouts, and they're configured to switch per application(System settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Layouts > Switching Policy is set to Application). When screen is locked, it uses last used layout(layout of focused application). I don't sure how it works in general, but I think kscreenlocker should use it's own layout, so you can use the same key combination to unlock it(without needing to check current layout and switching it each time). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set System settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Layouts > Switching Policy to "Application" 2. Switch layout of the currently focused app 3. Lock the screen OBSERVED RESULT kscreenlocker uses layout from app EXPECTED RESULT layout should be the same and don't depend on what layout do you have outside kscreenlocker SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0 Qt Version: 5.12.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
