As already said, the advantages to have a configurable dimming are many from a
genaral UI point of view. Some of them:
- Dimmed windows that illuminates on mouse hovering is eye popping on the long
run and causes eyes fatigue. Imagine using the computer at least for 3 hours a
day and switching the windows in such manner... it's better to have a setting.
- People are different so, for one could be ok for another not... it's better
to have asetting.
- KWin should be universal, so adaptable to any needs...
