Following the answer from one of the developer of Kdenlive:
"libstdc++6 is never packaged in a appimage. By construct, an appimage will not
be able to run on a system that is more ancient than the one we are building it
on. So maybe we can look into building on a slightly older system, but there is
a limit to what we can do (since we use fairly recent c++ features) and most
likely the answer will be "sorry, your distro is too old to be supported,
please consider upgrading"."
