--- Comment #21 from Michael Butash <mich...@butash.net> --- So last night my desktop finally broke entirely, where after it woke up, all I got was a blank display. At this point I was left with no choice but to reboot it, and did so gracefully from an alt tty. A reboot would get me to sddm login, but once logging in, I get the framebuffer start same black display, but I could see the mouse moving as it would normally across the displays, just no apps. Restarting sddm and trying Mate or Cinnamon, I now get the black screen for anything beyond sddm. Installing and using GDM doesn't seem to work either, but not sure that isn't just a config thing having never used it before anyways. It's odd, I get no error from xorg logs, journalctl looks fine through launching sddm and into plasma, until it gets to kwin_x11 gives "qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (Bad Window) 9 (Bad Drawable). All other log output for the session seems like apps are starting fine. I had this happen once before similarly, seems something I installed upgraded some core components, and an entirely pacman -Syu fixed it, so did so here, but still no change, same as before upgrade. Now I'm not even sure where to start with this to get a working desktop again now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
