I don't have that freeze/crash on Windows 10 with the 4.2.6 or the latest 4.3.0
prealpha portable zip packages, with the .kra file as provided.
It does take about 20 seconds to open the file because you have a Bevel and
Emboss layer style applied to a colour fill background layer. It may not make a
difference but can you take that layer style off and try again?
