Bug ID: 413043 Summary: Improve efficient interaction between reference images and canvas. How to acelerate use of reference images. Product: krita Version: 4.2.7.1 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Tools/Reference Images Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: oscarrestrepo.perso...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Suggestins to improve usability of reference images. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open any canvas 2. Insert reference image 3. Click on pin to go to reference image, click on brusch to go to paint, click on pin to go to reference image again, and again, and again. 4. Additional, reference image is anchored to canvas, if I move or modify the canvas, the reference image moves to with canvas, and dissapear or it be useless. OBSERVED RESULT We have a slow procedure to interact with canvas and reference image (we need click on reference image icon, in toolbar every time we need it). More slowly and ineffective. Aditinal reference image dissapears with movement of canvas because it was atached to the canvas. EXPECTED RESULT 1. We have 1 canvas and reference images. 2. We only need 1 click on reference image area to activate reference image and his propierties, and move, modify, and go on. (Pin at toolbar its not necesary). 3. If we need go to canvas, only need 1 click on canvas area or brush icon. 4. Krita will detect area of canvas or area of reference images and activate them according to cursor position. 5. The canvas areas do not interact with the reference areas, therefore it will not be possible to paint when passing the brush over the reference areas and backwards. 6. when we select an reference image, near of reference image area will appear some icons to interact with reference image, like modifies, delete or others. This is optional.
