Nothing changed in the Symaptics Touchpad KCM in this release. I would
recommend reporting this issue to Kubuntu. However the old Synaptics drivers
that you're using are neither developed nor maintained anymore, so I doubt
you'll get anywhere. :/ I would recommend biting the bullet and moving to
Libinput, which is actively developed and much less buggy in my experience.
