Bug ID: 415812 Summary: Remote images are not displayed until "View" toolbar button is pressed Product: gwenview Version: 19.12.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: lu...@lwsabota.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 124857 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=124857&action=edit Example of initial gwenview screen after opening remote image SUMMARY When opening remote images in gwenview, they are not initially displayed. Instead, the user must press the "View" button in the toolbar to display the remote image. The proper behavior can be observed when opening a local image. Opening a local image immediately shows the image in the gwenview window. Screenshot attached. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a remote image on the command line or through the "File->Open" dialog. For example: "gwenview https://xannode.com/gwenview.png" OBSERVED RESULT The image is "partially" loaded. The titlebar reflects the image resolution and meta information is populated, but the image is not displayed in the main gwenview window. The "view" toolbar button must be pressed in order to display the remote image. EXPECTED RESULT It's expected that the remote image be loaded immediately.
