This bug is the same as 391088, which is related to focus switching and is
intentional. Bassically we have a timer after doing interactions with widgets
outise of canvas to grab the focus.
Using the Overview docker, this does not happen when clicking the preview, but
using zoom or rotation controls the bahavior is the same as 391088
