I confirm the bug with Krita 4.2.8 regular and nightly built (regular) under
windows 10 64 bit professional.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create any vector shape.
1. Select gradient fill for vector shape stroke.
2. krita freezes. I can't do anything so I have to kill the process.
