Anyway, "toolbars shown" is available, and the toolbox is checked. In the SoftwareManager, a review said, after installing kdelibs-bin, and 2 more kdelibs5 packages, KolourPaint was finally running! I tried this, and the menu figured no longer "No text". Strange: if you get KolourPaint from Linux Mint 13, you gotta download almost 70 MBytes, but if you get it from Linux Mint 17, it's just 5 MB! So, with Synaptic Package Manager I installed most of the packages required from Mint 13, and now everything works fine!!! Conclusion: This appears to be a bug of KolourPaint, but it isn't. It is a bug of Synaptic Package Manager or Mint 17; it just does not install enough packages in Mint 17 for KolourPaint.
