            Bug ID: 418801
Summary: Display warning if Keyboard Daemon not running
           Product: systemsettings
           Version: 5.18.3
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kcm_keyboard
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: b...@mrvanes.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I wanted to disable Caps Lock on my keyboard and quickly found the keyboard
setting in System Settings under Input Devices. So far so good.

The change however wasn't applied and it took me a while to discover that my
Keyboard Daemon was disabled. I don't know why (I may have done this in the
past in an attempt to save resources) so it would have been nice to see a
warning in the keyboard settings dialog that explains that settings won't take
effect until this daemon is enabled again?

I'm not the only one so I was happy someone documented their findings:
