I see this issue very frequently with Android Studio. The launch screen of
Android Studio is open but clicking the application in the task bar doesn't
bring the window to the foreground.
Hovering on the task manager entry and clicking on the window preview (while
the window is supposedly in the foreground) seems to be the only reliable way
of getting the window visible.
When the window is in the background the window preview is just the Android
Studio logo, after clicking it while it's in the background it changes to a
preview of the actual window and clicking the preview again brings the window
to the foreground.
