           Product: plasmashell

                OS: Linux

  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Whenever I invoke a shortcut/replacement via the text replacement/keyboard
hotkey modifier program AutoKey from a KDE application, the program looses
focuses. Many people seem to have [this issue and it has been reported to
Autokey](https://github.com/autokey/autokey/issues/169#issuecomment-455200231),
but they have indicated it is an upstream issue with KDE. Further, that thread
indicates this is an issue with running any type of scrip in KDE causing the
frontmost app to lose focus, not just Autokey scrips. Can you please help fix
this? There are more details in that [GitHub issues page
thread](https://github.com/autokey/autokey/issues/169#issuecomment-455200231).
This is especially an issue for application like KRunner, where if I try to
run a keyboard shortcut in (eg: I have emacs style shortcuts in it to remap
ctrl+n to down) to select the next item, it causes KRunner to disappear
entirely, and I have to start my search over again. Thanks so much!!
