hey, expirienced this Bug too. Do you use only one Screen/Activity like me?
For me it doesn't happen all the time. sometimes the items stay after reboot
(or logout/login) and sometimes they dont.-
Just to clarify. you are using FolderView Desktop Layout?
I tried this now (based on Comment 54, 55 by Valdo) and i think it helped: time
will tell if the icons get rearranged again:
open dolphin and go to your ./config folder to locate the file
"plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc"
Then open a terminal and run
kquitapp5 plasmashell
your desktop should get black but the filemanger(dolphin) stays open. Then open
the file mentioned above and scroll down till u find the Section
[ScreenMapping]
itemsOnDisabledScreens=
screenMapping=
for me there were lots of old names/files in those 2 lines (after the =) that
got long deleted and were not present anywhere anymore. I dont know what these
2 lines are there for and what they do. its always good to make a backup before
edits.
So i deleted everything after the "=" signs so it looks like above and then
run:
kstart5 plasmashell
i post this so others may try this at their own risk as i havent seen the icons
rearranged after this but it didnt happen all the time anyways so i am not sure
if it helped..
Maybe some dev can tell us what these lines are there for and why old long gone
filenames end up in those lines...
