SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Edit image in External Editor (Affinity Photo in my case)
2. Edit photo in some noticeable manner
3. Save file and close external editor
OBSERVED RESULT
The thumbnail in Digikam doesn't update to reflect the changes made via the
external editor.
