OK it seems I have sorted it out (and I am extremely sorry).

Firewalld was the culprit. I had it configured to allow samba traffic (ports
137, 138, 139, 445) and it worked when using full server address like
"smb://10.0.0.1". But there was no this auto-detection. As soon as I disabled
it, available servers became detectable with simple "smb://".

This is strange however. I remember I had no such problem when I had ufw
running (configured the same way).
