If i disconnect the key violently, sure it break the process with an error, but i don't lost files. Also the USB device file system is important here. You muust always use a journalized file system, aka NTFS or Ext4 for ex, never use *Fat* from Microsoft. With this kind of test, you will be sure to lost data.
