This is what I get from a first run ob gdb plasmashell.... I'll try to provide
more useful information but there are no debug packages in parrot (d'oh). I
will try to import them from debian or compile them.

(No debugging symbols found in plasmashell)
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/plasmashell
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1".
qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it
was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be
initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen,
vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb.
