This will be fixed with MR 422
(https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/merge_requests/422), by checking the
Use New Engine checkbox. I had to create a new method for smudging to allow
the use of Color Image, Lightness Map, and Gradient Map brush types, and the
new method doesn't have this issue, so I made it possible to use it with Alpha
Mask brushes as well.
