I could only reproduce this using non-indexed search (with baloo disabled), and
searching on a folder with had a symlink to a different folder outside of its
path, as the regular search follows symlinks when going into the folder tree.
Is it possible that the subfolder you are searching in contains a symlink to
the other directory where the results are shown from?
