We convert the RAW-data thumbnails received from GPhoto2, with a function of QImage, into an image. If this didn't work, we would have a NULL image and a corresponding error message in the history. So why no thumbnail is displayed with you, I can't say at the moment. After the release of digiKam-7.1.0 I will add additional debug output for testing.
