Since System Setting is also affected and remains an issue withh NVidia driver v435, 450 and 455, I would not consider this to be entirely an upstream issue as previous versions of System Settings (Kubnutu 20.04) used to work fine 435 & 450 NVidia drivers. The chromium browser corruption occurs with composting on and off and has been an issue starting with chromium v84+. A bug was filed against chromium when I was using Kubuntu 20.04 as it was the only app that did not gracefully recover from sleep.
